A New Meadow Habitat for Native Wildlife
The North Meadow uses the site’s naturally flat terrain to create an expansive mixed-species habitat inspired by the open landscapes of California’s Central Valley.
The habitat is planned to provide ample space for species such as Tule Elk, Mule Deer, White-Tail Deer, and Bison to roam and cohabitate while giving visitors a broad view across a recreated Central California plain.

Creating an Expansive Mixed-Species Habitat
The North Meadow combines large open habitat space, visitor trails, natural landscape features, and animal-support areas to create a more immersive experience for both wildlife and guests.
Meadow Walking Trail
A trail descending the bluff will create an immersive walking experience through the meadow, while a future funicular could provide a more accessible way to experience the area.
Central Pond
A central pond will create a dynamic landscape feature where visitors can observe multiple species interacting with the environment.
Vegetated Buffer
A vegetated buffer will help shape visitor sight lines and visually separate the habitat from the reservoir beyond.
